Liphook Scout Group Archery Club
Our Archery Club was formed in September 2014. It is open to all members from Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network, Leaders and Helpers.
We shoot each week between 9.30 am and 11.30 am on a Sunday morning and spend about half an hour either side of these times setting up and packing away the shooting range.
When the weather is ok, we shoot at the field to the back of the Deers Hut but in bad weather are fortunate enough to have the Scout and Guide halls to shoot in, although only 10 yards, it is good to practice your form and groupings.
We shoot in two competitions each year, the Hants and IoW Scout Archery Competition and the National Scout Archery Competition, where we shoot 3 events, Clout, Field and Target. These are great fun and a good focus for practicing shooting for.
2017 Saw the first Liphook Scout Group Archery Club Competition, a great fun day, for all the members, friends and family. Great thanks to the Deers Hut for allowing us to shoot at the field and hold the competition and to Debbie for presenting the medals! A few pictures below of the day.
